Eberhard Schneider, eldest son of Eugen and Ottilie (Richter)
Schneider, was born at the family home in the city of Breslau,
province of Selesia, Kingdom of Prussia, Germany, March, 15,
1868. He spent his early childhood partly in Brieg, in Selesia, his
father's vocation calling for frequent changes in residence. When
six years of age his father settled in the city Breslau, where
Eberhard attended the Burghers-schule.
